Why would we fly bombers out of Guam?It's a shorter flight than from Whiteman AFB in Warrensburg, MO (not too far from Kansas City).

Oops - Technically, Whiteman is just outside of Warrensburg, in "Knobnoster." Hey, I don't make these names up.

I had read some preliminary remarks about the cause of the over rotation some time ago.

There's an amateur video of a shuttle launch from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral floating around the 'net.
While his camera is fixed on the launch pad and the excitement in his voice builds as he joins in the countdown.........

the roar coming from the launch pad and the cheers from the throngs don't quite seem to match the events in his viewfinder.
Apparently KSC has TWO launch pads and this particular camera was pointed at the empty tower.
The ensuing scramble to turn the camera in the right direction was hysterical......never mind the 4 letter words coming out his mouth.
