Yeah, McCain has shown about as much enthusiasm towards evangelicals as he has towards conservatives.
He’s done nothing but breed suspicion in both groups.
More like McCain has bred contempt for both groups. It isn’t a new tactic on his part. It has been going on since 2000 or maybe even a bit before that.
