Rep. George Miller delivers millions for campaign contributor (Critics point to Miller's earmarks)

MARTINEZ — Rep. George Miller, an outspoken critic of the Iraq war, has secured $4.6 million in federal funding for a Martinez firm that has earned millions selling equipment to the U.S. Army for use in the war effort and whose executives have contributed to his campaign and political action committees.

Miller, a Martinez Democrat, secured $3 million in the 2006 defense appropriations bill and $1.6 million in the 2008 bill for SecuriMetrics, Inc., manufacturer of biometric identification devices that use iris, fingerprint and facial recognition technology. Current and former executives of SecuriMetrics have donated $16,090 to Miller and his "Solidarity" political action committee since 2004, according to federal campaign contribution records.

The Army has awarded SecuriMetrics millions of dollars in contracts in recent years, including a $10 million order in 2006 for its portable, hand-held identification device. A news release announcing the deal described SecuriMetrics as a "major provider of mobile iris recognition solutions for (Department of Defense) needs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia."

Representatives of SecuriMetrics did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

Daniel Weiss, Miller's chief of staff, said the congressman has supported SecuriMetrics because the company brings jobs to the district, aids the war effort and represents the technological innovation that has always been central to the country's economic stability.

I will bet the farm that Miller is a typical democrat party grifter whose personal net worth went from zero to $20 million while “serving” as a crooked congressman.

Congressman For Life George Miller Jr. is a second generation democratic congressman. His father was the Member for a district that included much of what Jr. Sr. retired or expired and for a few years the district was represented by a good man named Jerry Walde.

Walde lost decided to run unsuccessfully in the primary for governor against Jerry Brown the district passed back into the family.

I don’t know if George Jr. has any children but suspect if he does one of them will be the next congressman from that part of Contra Costa County.

"Congressman For Life George Miller Jr."

Is owned outright by the GovernMental Employees Unions!!!

But, of course, he in turn, owns them outright, too!!!

I never can get the initials correct, but AFSCME is one of the biggest and have completely corrupted this man. He reminds me of Tony Cohelo, Jim Wright and that crook from Chicago on Ways and Means that finally went to prison whose name has escaped my memory!!!
