I had posted this idea on a few threads. I had mixed reactions to the idea.

Today, I am calling for John McCain to immediately suspend all campaigning for the Presidency until Labor Day.Anything genuinely worth doing, is worth doing on an ongoing basis. ;)

(If McCain really CAN "win without conservatives," then why do you care if I vote for him or not?)
To: don-o
McCain truly needs to withdrawal from the Presidential race so that a true conservative will be able to replace him. This is truly the worst Presidential choices, ever!

Keep your integrity by not voting for either of these jokers.
To: don-o
I dunno... McCain has been pretty adamant about reducing spending, tax cuts, and aggressive on the WOT. That works for me.

Not a good idea. Out of sight and out of the media attention. Would give the Obama folks and their friends in the media free reign.

Only if Charlie Daniels and Hank Jr. agree to take over the campaign.

He can charge headlong into Barack Hussein Muhammad Obama today or do as you say and wait until after Labor Day.
It won’t change my position no matter what he does. His Senatorial voting record has told me enough. I refuse to vote for one socialist over another socialist.

I tink it’s a great idea, because the more McCain opens his mouth, the more is dislike him.
Maybe we can get him to shut up and retire altogether.

Same here. On the threads I noted a benefit is that he stops enraging conservatives, at least for a while.

I had my hopes up that you wanted him to drop out so a real conservative would take his place.

So, take the summer off, John. Save your money. See you in September.No. He'll look even older in September.
To: don-o
A better option would be for McCain to name Fred Thompson as his VP, then drop out.
