WASHINGTON - An emboldened Barack Obama browbeat Sen. Joe Lieberman on the Senate floor after the self-proclaimed "Independent Democrat" slammed the candidate on behalf of Republican John McCain.

Flexing his new power as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Obama greeted Lieberman, a prominent McCain backer, on the Senate floor Wednesday - then promptly led him by the hand to a back corner to give him a talking-to.

"He had him pinned against the wall," said one Senate aide who saw the tete-a-tete...

"...why not for sure save a lot of lives by confiscating and killing all the cats?"

Red China is already doing that in preparation for the Olympics.

Do you have a link? Watch if they get overrun with rodents. IIRC, they had a campaign during the Cultural Revolution against sparrows. Then they were overrun with locusts.

One must never say bad things about the protected special peoples (as determined by liberals and slavishly followed by GOP cowards)./sarc

Screw the whiny PC police here.

I think people should lay off these “hood thug” comments. I really don’t think Obama comes across that way. He comes off like the Harvard trained lawyer he is.

He's a no good punk and thug. That's how he come across to me. And those "spell binding" speeches he gives? He's full off shit and a con man.

Barack Hussein Obama is an arrogant selfish brat who happens to be Black, and he uses his skin color to get away with his arrogance.

And he's been getting away with this racism trick for years. He's arrogant because it's worked so far
Meanwhile our candidate looked like a pathetic little old man in a baseball cap yesterday.
He always wears something due to skin cancer worries

Heaven help us.

> The funny thing is John McCain might be just the man to beat him. The very thing most FReepers don’t like about him might keep Obama out of the White House.<

Exactly what thing is it? I can’t even begin to guess because there are so many.

I have no idea. Some days I have your theory in mind. I do not want to vote for McCain. The very sound of his voice makes my skin crawl my friend. But I, like some others here, do give him credit for even mentioning the “threat of Islamic terrorism” when nobody else will.

Other days, when I hear he’s making noise about global warming or I’m reminded that he’s against drilling in ANWR, I start to think there’s no way. The guy’s just too lame.

Then I start to remember. Oh yeah. He’s the “Maverick”. The democrat “Trojan Horse” who’s screwing it all up in order to hand it over to the dems while he poses as one of us.

The media have been pimping Obama so continuously that I will be truly surprised if he doesn’t win.

I have been praying for a miracle to save America from whatever fate comes her way in November.

I heard Hugh Hewitt on this and today I called Lieberman's office and told him Obama is no friend to Israel--but you Senator Lieberman are a great friend to Israel. Stick to your guns and don't be bullied by this Islamist thug who voted to protect the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps!.

Hussein is a Marxist-Muslim racebaiting switchhitter who poorly conceals a dark agenda.

Harvard-trained lawyers are all hoods and thugs.

Lieberman’s offer to speak at the Republican convention is a BIG THREAT.

Well, gee. Good thing all them smart Harvard-trained lawyers in the Democrat party thought about that before they kicked Joe Lieberman out of the party.

I agree as well so that makes at least three of us. McCain just may be the right man for this election year and could make Dems comfortable enough to vote for him should they decide they’ve had enough of Obama, the arrogant little empty suit.

Maybe they're just telling people they're voting for b. Hussein Obama when they are actually not.

Maybe they're putting up a front so as not to appear racist.

Lieberman is an Independent, just WHAT can Hussein or the DNC do to him to stop him from doing what he wants? It would seem they need him much more then he needs them. He caucuses with the libs now but that doesn’t mean he MUST do so in the future and they need his vote.

What is the leverage that can be used against Lieberman? In what possible way is he beholden to the Democrats? Isn’t it a fact that he caucuses with the libs at his own discretion and could easily decide to caucus with the Rep or even switch Party’s?

If was smart and really wanted to stick it to the libs he could make a decision to retire and after he gets re elected to his final term, immediately switch to the Rep Party

There is a ‘pattern’ emerging from the ‘Messiah’ here....

He is a Marxist bully and America had better wake up before it is too late.

“Maybe he is intimidating Lieberman ..”

Lieberman cannot be intimidated. Obambi promised AIPAC everything and know one believes him.

I wouldn’t even give him that much credit. I don’t think he could handle the streets. He’s an elitist b-otch like Kerry was.

That’s an interesting analogy. So far, it’s only the people at the DU who willingly slaver over Olbermann’s “Worst Person”.
