I love how the word “clinging” was used more than once. Not coincidentally, I’m sure.
Some of us are pretty strong feminists and we absolutely love the fact that Hillary represents all facets of the very best of women — smart, tough, soft, protective, devious, tender, assertive compassionate (should I go on?)
Hillary represents the best of women? Hillary is tough and soft and protective? In some ways, Hillary represents the worst of women, in that, she stayed with a husband who completely repeatedly and publicly humiliated her with his behavior. Feminist ideology regarding relationships is that women should not put with that kind of nonsense from the men in their lives. Yet Hillary just took whatever Bill dished out. Hillary is NOT tough in many ways; certainly not in her personal life. It’s a joke to say Hillary is some kind of feminist icon. And, she got to where she is ONLY because of the man in her life; she didn’t make it on her own. Feminist ideology says that women can and should make it on their own, not hitch a ride with a man.
