Hillary's supporters to Obama: ''Continued scorn will not get my vote''

We've gotten an avalanche of emails from around the country this week in the wake of news that Sen. Hillary Clinton will be closing out her campaign Saturday.

This one, from Billie Bromer of Augusta, Georgia, is representative of many, capturing the sentiments of Hillary supporters -- angry, aggrieved, mournful -- as they watch the end of a landmark campaign.

What it shows: the considerable challenges ahead for the Obama campaign -- and the Democratic Party -- when it comes to winning these voters over in the next 150 days.

I am one of those 'upset' Hillary supporters who is clinging to Hillary.com during my 'mourning and grieving' process. The media, the pundits, the politicians, and even the two remaining candidates are talking about me and my vote in November. But the story about Hillary supporters is incomplete.

The most simple -- but woefully incorrect -- way to address the topic of the displaced, diehard Hillary women supporters is to lump us all together.

We came to Hillary for different reasons and we are clinging to Hillary for different reasons.

Some of us are pretty strong feminists and we absolutely love the fact that Hillary represents all facets of the very best of women -- smart, tough, soft, protective, devious, tender, assertive compassionate (should I go on?)

Some of us have been more moderate (sensible) Democrats and we absolutely love the fact that she doesn't represent the more liberal/progressive lean the party seems to be taking.

Some of us just do not like Obama and we are NOT racists for not liking him. We see him as arrogant and smug and he just does not 'inspire' us.

Hillary represents the best of women? Hillary is tough and soft and protective? In some ways, Hillary represents the worst of women, in that, she stayed with a husband who completely repeatedly and publicly humiliated her with his behavior. Feminist ideology regarding relationships is that women should not put with that kind of nonsense from the men in their lives. Yet Hillary just took whatever Bill dished out. Hillary is NOT tough in many ways; certainly not in her personal life. It’s a joke to say Hillary is some kind of feminist icon. And, she got to where she is ONLY because of the man in her life; she didn’t make it on her own. Feminist ideology says that women can and should make it on their own, not hitch a ride with a man.

Just another confirmation, that America is finished. It's simple, we have too many people like this stupid women who are voting. Her description of the PIAPS, is exactly what the Madison ad execs and her campaign wanted to sell America. She was fired from Watergate for ethics violations, she was involved in numerous sleazy deals overseen by the Rose law firm, and lied about it. She lied about her involvement in Travelgate. Robert Ray was convinced she lied, but didn't have enough concrete evidence to indict her. Beyond the lies, look at the record of sleaze politics. She's hired detectives, scum like Tony Pellicano to intimidate opponents and women her husband has soiled, either with or without their consent. Then there's all the dirty money the Clinton's have accepted over the years, from the communist chinese, people like Riady and a list of other criminals (look at the pardons he gave out at the end of his term in office). They both are whores, who have repaid their supporters with all kinds of favors that undermined our country. Even if someone says politics is a dirty business, everyone plays dirty, then lets look at what kind of a person is she ? There's the accounts of her treatment of our military in the WH, the way she cursed out members of her security detail. There's numerous account of her coldness, her mean-spirtedness, her violent outbursts.She's simply a very disturbed, ugly human being...

Yet women like this blithering idiot, think the PIAPS is so wonderful and qualified to be President. There are 18 MM just as uniformed, just as incapable of researching the people they elect.

It's because of this huge mass of lazy, uniformed people that I'm now convinced America is doomed to morph into something akin to a European socialist country.

Why is oil at $ 139 a barrel ? A recent report says we have access from our own country to some 135 billion barrels, more than Iraq, Iran & Russia combined. Yet our govt will not let us drill our oil ? Why are we unable to stop the congress from spending 40 trillion dollars to fight a scam - global warming - crippling industry and the economy. Why at this point do so many of us feel powerless to do anything about it, powerless to change anything that is clearly messed up ?

Because there are more people like this stupid bitch, than the rest of us. People, who will continue to elect the incompetent bastards who are lining their pockets, pushing America towards socialism and destroying what previous generations built.

One error in your logic is that the WOT is not just occuring in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a global problem including our own borders. It is a known fact terrorists have posed and are posing as illegal aliens to enter the country and destroy us from within our own borders. Despite this fact, McCain supports granting amnesty to illegal aliens. McCain's position on the WOT will be a bona fide disaster if he becomes President.

You also did not take into account he sought out the socialist Democrats in 2001 while considering switching parties, was considered by John Kerry as a potential VP running mate, has been funded in the past by communist billionaire George Soros. He also has sponsored bills concering amnesty for illegal aliens, restricting free speech and the fallacy of human induced global warming with socialists Kennedy, Feingold and Lieberman respectively. Additionally he is opposed to drilling in ANWR and has already met with or will meet with amnesty loving La Raza who wants to reclaim most of the western U.S. for Mexico.

Any rational adult realizes choosing a socialist like McCain will be a disaster for the country.
