Bob Barr appeared on Glenn Becks CNN/Headline News program last night for a discussion about energy independence [link to video in post #2]. Barr will be back tonight for an hour-long interview.

How the heck did you go from supporting Huckabee to supporting this former conservative?
Yawn
Are the moderators removing the “Topics” from my threads?
One word: McCain.
Watching it right now and pretty much liking what I hear. Too bad the 97% of Americans who will throw their vote away on the Repubs or Dems don’t have the smarts to listen to what he has to say.
Two Words - Obama-Lite!
Only one worth a damn is Chuck Baldwin - Constitutional Party May not stand a chance, but I would rather vote for someone that had and stood on principles and lost, then vote for someone like McCain who has no principles and never did to win!
Maybe so. But I’d vote for Obama long before I’d vote for a political traitor like McCain.
Wouldn’t life be grand if the race was Barr/Baldwin instead of McCain/Obama? Maybe then we could see some real promises of change and then whoever was elected would actually implement the changes.
Watched. My read: Drunk Glenn loses train of thought, Bob can’t close.
You know, it was a great interview. Barr comes off like a mature and well thinking version of Ron Paul.
Then I went to his website. He is another absolutist on pre-emption. 911 must happen again or worse before we can act according to Barr.
And I know I hear he thinks we talk to Iran - our enemy, the nation currently killing US troops.
I posted this thread under “Announcements” in “News/Activism” and a moderator apparently moved it to “Chat”...
Is that the right call? And if so, what’s the critical difference between this announcement and the one in the thread below?
