Illinois begins aggressive speed enforcement in construction zones

I thought Gov. Doyle (WI) was the only one pushing his bagmen to collect more for the state. He has been monitoring Hwy. 41 for some time now. As the states require more give away money we can look forward to much more of this.

I just drove that stretch last month, if you dare go in the left lane you better be doing 80 plus, and when have you EVER seen a cop driving below the posted speed limit?

I drive it every two weeks. That entire zone is posted at 45. If you drove 45 you would be rear ended in the first mile. I worry that I will get nailed every time I make the trip.

This construction project is going to end up being about 3 years long. That is a long time for a revenue enhancement scheme . . .

Yeah, a nice long time so they can collect ever so much more money. Rod Blagojevich (the Gov) is generally hated by one and all, even the Dems. He has got our state of IL in the whole financially, while still trying to pass state healthcare for all the children in the state, even though we don’t have the money for it, in fact we are millions in debt. He’s been robbing the state pension funds for money, and is doing all sorts of state regulation schemes and now this ticketing in construction zones scheme, primarily for revenue enhancement. I can’t stand the man, however, I am stuck living in a blue state (both state houses are Dem controlled, as well as a Dem Gov). I’m doomed.
