Oh boy, now McCain is getting blamed for events that have not even occurred. At least it is taking some heat off Bush.

Here’s an unlikely reason to vote for McCain.

"Oh boy, now McCain is getting blamed for events that have not even occurred."

As far as I am concerned, this is just one more reason for me to support McCain. The IOC is riddled with corruption. The more eyes on the IOC by a sitting U.S. President, the better off we Americans will be in the long run. The IOC are just as corrupt as the United Nations.

I have to laugh at one of the Keating Five conducting hearings into a bribery scandal.

Of course, if Mitt Romney were vice president ...

I don’t think the residence of Chicago want the Olympics anyway. Daley wants them, along with a huge tax increase to pay for it.

I hope Chicago doesn’t get the Olympics. People just aren’t as interested in the Olympics anymore. Poor coverage and stupid politics, like this BS, have ruined them.

Daley’s plans for the 2016 Olympics include building Olympic facilities and scheduling events in some of the city’s high crime areas. Three people were shot in one of them—the South Side Washington Park area—just last night. If Committee members stop to give a thought as to how difficult it will be for fans to safely get into and out of such areas, Chicago will be bypassed. No Chicago resident who could avoid it will go there.

Explain again why getting the Olympic venue is a good thing

Can’t say I’d be disappointed if an American city was never ever selected from now on to host these games.

Since the cold war ended the Olympics have become a yawner. I haven’t watched even one second of it since 1988 in Calgary.

Not to mention the necessity of drug testing...fifty years ago they were (mostly) pure athletes; now many of them are chemically enhanced.

It seems to me that the real issue here is that the IOC is angry at McCain because he helped expose all the corruption in the organization. Whereas they all know that democrats love corruption (as long as they get their share).

The Olympics are used as justification for city managers to build event sites and supporting infrastructure.

They believe residents covet the games.

They should ask the taxpayers whether they really want to spend billions for a two-week money-losing event.

Don't forget this is Chicago, so add "to line the pockets of their family members and other cronies."
