This guy is full of it. The ocean isn't rising at all. In fact it has been falling.

Maybe if the president switches to driving a Prius and build a shrine to Algore, it might help save his island.

33 coral atolls straddling the equator At least they are technically above sea level. Unlike New Orleans' 9th ward. I'm sure Bush will be blamed.
For third world nations struggling with "climate change", I have a word of advice. If you are below sea level or if you are in a region of perpetual desert, no amount of carbon offsets can save you. You need to move. Georgia is nice, and above sea level, and we don't have a desert. Come on over. We have pork barbecue here. I won't tell anyone that you liked it.

Kirbati made the statement and then flew home in his corporate jet and road to his beach house on stilts in a stretch limo.

Tell him to go and talk to the Chinese..they are rapidly increasing their carbon ass print and don’t intend to stop.
Once he convinces them to stop and gets Al Gore to fly commericial and live in a 1200 sqft house with no AC..then I will listen to his complaints.

Maybe he and his people can move in with Al Gore and John McCain and Geo. Bush and all the rest of these yokels who believe this Global Warming BS.

Either the seas are rising everywhere, or they are rising nowhere. There is no way for one island or set of islands to be jeopardized by rising seas but the neighboring ones to be just as they were. The fact that this problem appears to affect Kiribati and Tuvalu, while Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu, Hawaii, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Australia, and a thousand other islands don’t have a problem means the seas aren’t rising, and therefore, they aren’t rising because of Climate Change.

coral atolls
Coral Atolls.
Doesn’t coral grow UNDER WATER?
IF the water is rising, wouldn’t it make sense that these islands are simply returning to their normal state and everything above the water is there by accident?
Makes more sense the the pap spewed by the Gorons.

I bet the residents of the “Doomed” atoll of Kiribati will be surprised when it starts snowing.

"The president (Anote Tong) of the low-lying Pacific atoll nation of Kiribati said Thursday his country may already be doomed because of climate change. "
Well, A-note...if ol' Algore was right, you've got about 100 years in which to call Mayflower, and move the hell OFF the atoll.
A couple few years ago we were all going to "die of aids"...that didn't happen...
Then the bird flu was going to get us, for sure...that didn't happen either.
Then it was the mad cow disease, tuberculosis, Saddam's mustard gas, or contaminated dog food. But we're still here.
I think the "the-climate-is-falling" bunch should just go over with a U-haul "freighter", and pack these guys up and get'em off the island. I know Gilligan was very happy to get off his island, that lagoon got gradually larger every season....whew, just made it.
Personally, I'm going down to Albany, Georgia, and buy some land, so when Florida "sinks", I'll have some ocean front property.

Truth does not matter. What matters is the per capita payout from the "developed" countries to the Kiribatians. The Bekins bill to move them is going to be a Duzie.

Although scientists are still debating the extent of rising sea levels ...Stop right there. Not one of these hysterical GW articles ever states how high sea levels have risen or over what period of time.
