So all the Christians who sat quietly by and allowed Hitler and his goons to do what they did, because the Jews really deserved it? Is that true Christian teaching or Pat Puke-cannon channeling?

No, I think that was wrong and those Christians who stood idly by when the Nazis were committing those atrocities should have been ashamed of themselves. I consider Israel to be a strong reliable ally of the United States and a solid democracy. They have proven themselves to be so on countless ocassions. I do not like those in our government who constantly undermine their position and who have lead them to make some bad deals (i.e. Gaza Strip)with the Palestinians which greatly endangers their already tenuous national security situation.

However the theological significance of the suffering of Israel throughout the A.D. generations is still quite compelling, should not be overlooked but be an ominous sign to all men everywhere for rejecting Christ.
