I made it a personal policy when I was in, to avoid any HQ work. I got too close to that when I went to one of the depots, and that was when I learned why AFMC stands for “A F-—n Million Civilians.”
Nothing but bunches of butt-covering, cowardly GS employees whose only talent lay in “how do I get my next bonus.”
No, I was a flightline animal and I am still full of resent towards the two Pentagon buttkissers who killed my career, with the open assistance of an E-9 who never earned the right to be called “Chief”
