Also, I can't stand Ann Coulter.

Sounds like an expression of personal preference. De gustibus, and all that.

She intentionally makes outrageous statements just to get press.

And every time the press soil themselves thinking they have brought down another conservative. If what she stated so outrageously weren't true, she'd be gone by now.

She'd rather resort to mudslinging than an intelligent discussion of the issues.

In the soundbite world of the media, there's no room for intelligent discussion of anything. You want discussion, you should turn off the toob and read a book.

She does much to advance her book sales, but little to advance the conservative cause.

Book sales = profit. 'Nuff said. As for the conservative cause, each who believes in it does what he can because the essence of conservatism is that we don't require some dufus to pull our strings before we can talk. (Although in Ann's case, you can get one of those talking dolls ;)

You don't have to like what another conservative does, You are free to do better if you can.

I think she's definitely a symptom, not the problem. I hate this sound byte culture we've been reduced to. I rarely even watch TV because it drives me nuts.
