Thomas Sowell is correct. The problem though is that except for the war on terror, McCain would be much worse than Obama. McCain has shown that he can put an alliance of Democrats and Republicans together to pass his agenda. Obama can't.

So what is McCains agenda? He wants illegal immigration legalized, carbon credits, no energy development, bailouts for mortgage companies, massive inflation, free speech eliminated, etc. etc. And the scariest part is that he has shown that he can put the coalition together to get it done.

If we elect Obama what will happen? Nothing, and the Israeli's will nuke Iran to oblivion.

I almost like the option of electing Hussein. Having a known enemy in charge might be better than having a traitor in charge. What is the old saying, better an enemy in front than a knife in the back.

What about the SCOTUS? Them there’s 30-40 years of law making, not the 4 that BO has if he wins. Oh, and the WOT. Think BO’s anti-American clan is going to pursue that with any vigor? I’m not a McCain fan, believe me, but Sowell is right. Way too much at stake...

I am not a member of the “haghani circle conservative” movement that wants to destroy this country so that the “hidden conservative” shall reappear.

I'm reminded of the one-line joke, "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

Sowell's point is that there isn't anything, realistically, except for the war on terror. We can't depend on Israel to solve our Iran problems for us, because they can't do it without resolve, resources, and backup from us. Obama is, for all anyone can tell, a preening coward, and not someone you would trust playing high-stakes poker on your behalf.

A clueless, timorous CIC, surrounded by toadies and anti-American nut-cases from the Chicago Red machine, is not equipped to run a nuclear war. Obama has zero experience getting stuff done, and his "brain trust" is composed only of people who know how to steal votes.

I won't bet money on it, but it occurs to me that if things get tense, or the war with Iran breaks out, McCain's flaccidity about our borders could suddenly go away. The threat of backpack nukes or other bombs from Iran coming across the Rio Grande could inspire a lot of change.

I am not going to roll the dice on this election.

It may be fun to spout this intellectual stuff on Freepr, but I am not going to “try out’ Obama. As for all the other issues that I don’t like McCain’s stand on...oh well, the only thing, the only thing, that matters is the war on Terror....carbon credits? who cares?

i am not waiting for Israel to “take care of Iran.
