The best proof he wasn't REALLY, REALLY tortured:
He's walking around and talking in the USA.
He's just VERY lucky he wasn't an Israeli or USA soldier that
fell into the clutches of a bunch of angry practitioners of
"The Religion of Peace".
Nice touch for the AP to mention the supportive Jewish population.
Surely they are all voting for Obama and praying for him to
talk, talk, talk, and talk to all the Palestinians, Muslims and
Iranians that would work out a "final solution" if they could.
