That is the law. If you are under 18, and photograph yourself in the nude, you are in possession of an illegal picture. In Arizona, you get 20 years in jail for each such picture found.

I know it’s the law, but there should be a narrow exception to child pr0n statutes in this case. This isn’t about gross adult pedophiles trading pictures of minors who were exploited and forced against their will. This is a case of teens being teens (ie. shortsighted and lacking judgment). It’s especially dumb that they’re being charged with “exploitation of a minor” when in fact they’re taking pictures of themselves.

Your statement is incorrect. A 14 year old will not be put in prison for 20 years for such a crime.
