Regarding AI{AC and the Obama Reception....Hot Air has this:

Team McCain conference call: rebuttal of Obama at AIPAC

posted at 11:45 am on June 4, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

John McCain’s campaign scheduled a media conference call immediately after Barack Obama’s appearance at AIPAC today to ensure that they got the last word on the AIPAC debate. If nothing else, it shows that McCain wants to wage an aggressive campaign for the general election, especially on national security and foreign policy.

Randy Schueneman (sp?) introduced Senator Joe Lieberman and Rep. Eric Cantor. Lieberman didn’t hear the speech but read the prepared remarks, and started off by congratulating Obama on his victory in the Democratic primaries. Lieberman found much to like in the speech, but noted that a lot seems to have changed in Obama’s estimation about Iran. Obama says now that Iran represents a “grave threat”, as I predicted, but just a couple of weeks ago dismissed Iran as a threat to the US. Lieberman also pointed out Obama’s opposition to Kyl-Lieberman, and wonders why Obama won’t admit now that his opposition to sanctions against the IRGC was a mistake.

Lieberman also disagrees that the Iraq war helped elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Iran has always been a radical state since its Islamist revolution in 1979 and has nothing to do with our actions in Iraq.

Cantor says that Obama gave a “nice speech”, but did nothing to dispel doubts on his position on Israel nor show him to have the character to stand in defense of Israel and the US alliance. McCain has been part of that defense for years; “it’s just in his DNA”.

Schueneman talked about Obama’s “distorted reality” in asserting that the presence of our troops in Iraq harms Israel’s security. He also pointed out that Obama agreed today that the IRGC is a terrorist force, but in September he took the opposition on Kyl-Lieberman. Obama also offered some preconditions to those unconditional talks, in essence flip-flopping on his stated policy — still on his website — that he would meet with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad “without preconditions”. Schueneman noted that our EU partners do not want meetings without preconditions.

Blowback

It would have been more impressive if he did that before Obama offered his help. As lieberman stabbed Obama in the back it’s only a matter of time before he stabs the GOP in the back.

Part of me thinks McCain should talk Lieberman into being VP.

First of all, VP doesn’t do anything. And there’s a republican governor so we’d get a seat back in the Senate.

And Lieberman would be the leading contender for democratic president in 2112 if McCain quit, while we’d still be able to run a conservative, and the democrats would surely run another liberal against Lieberman.

The only problem is if McCain dies. Although frankly, Lieberman would be a much better President than either Hillary or Obama.

Sure is, and when you unzip that golden brown skin of his you will find a monster waiting just below! I think he is Rosemary's Baby!

He is an Anti-Christ!

I just hope we can survive 4 years with this POS in the potus seat!

Lieberman still believes in Big Government.

So he wouldn't be of much use in attacking the Lefties...

I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal. -Barak Hussein Obama (Creepy, huh?)

I wonder if he read the "Left Behind Books" by Tim LaHay

That little speech he gave sounded remarkably like the words of the AntiChrist from the Books! Nicoli Carpathia- he is here!

Lieberman is with the GOP on one thing, the WOT. So how do you figure he will stab us in the back?

Obama is a militant POS who should be running for office in Kenya, NOT the USA. I couldn't care less if Lieberman stabbed the terrorist loving militant in the back.

That moment also gave me the creeps, and oddly enough like 1000s of other people have said and posted on this and other sites, the guy for some reason just plain scares me and I do not know why.

Back a few years ago I watched the movies that are based on the Books the “Left Behind” series. They were well made movies. Beside the religious implications of the movies, I found them to have a relevant political theme as well.

In the first movie when Nicoli Carpathia comes to power, because he is the man of peace, an elegant speaker and a very charismatic individual. He disarms the populous, charismatically speaks with the enemies, they too bow down before him and the rest of the movies show - Him then turning our country into a communistic state with brother turning against brother, then of course the entire world with Israel as the main target for his one world religion.

Obama reminds me of Nicoli in his speeches and the way the people treat him like a god. The sheeple make me think there is some truth to the anti-christ!

If you have 72 hours available, go here. 6 hours of dramatic audio for each of the 12 volumes. Really cool.

If Obama were smart he would encourage Lieberman to become McCain’s running mate. Such a move would utterly destroy McCain’s candidacy and ensure an Obama victory. It would also cripple the Republican Party nationwide.

It makes me wonder sometimes what planet Republicans are living on.
