No offense, but this seems to be another case of the "I didn't say that" amnesia that has infected so many freepers. When the woman says this was her son's idea and you refer to him as a "pawn" that's saying that she is (or may) be lying about her son's motivation. One cannot be a pawn when one executes his own plan. Words mean things.
When she was interviewed for this story, was she wearing a similar shirt in support of her son?
Let's say just for the sake of discussion that she hasn't worn a pro-life T-shirt anywhere, ever. Does the school get to violate the law, the kid's rights and their own district's policy because the Mom's not as morally upright as she should be?
But the 'do as I say, not as I do' mentality is painful when applied to a child.
As far as the school system goes - I don't know if they crossed the line. I don't know what their dress codes are, what other shirts have been banned, what the shirt in question looked like, or how true the articles are.
