Barack Obama on Wednesday defended his approach to dealing with Iran, telling a U.S. lobbying group for Israel that he would do “everything in my power” to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear capability.
The presumptive Democratic nominee — giving his first policy speech since seizing the nomination Tuesday night — warned Israel’s backers not to believe the “willful mischaracterizations of my positions” on using diplomacy with Iran.
“Contrary to the claims of some, I have no interest in sitting down with our adversaries just for the sake of talking. But as president of the United States, I would be willing to lead tough and principled diplomacy with the appropriate Iranian leader at a time and place of my choosing – if, and only if – it can advance the interests of the United States,” he told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual policy conference.

Well, see, Hussein, that’s the problem, because what’s “in my power” as Commander in Chief turns out to be everything from a polite diplomatic note to a nuclear assault. You can’t just sit back, wave your hands, and say, “Oh, well - that was all I could do.” If you’re not ready for big league ball, don’t pick up the bat.

I’m waiting for him to say:
“My fellow Americans. I’m pleased to announce that I’ve signed legislation outlawing The Islamic Republic of Iran. We begin bombing in five minutes.”
Fortunately, for the safety and security of the free world, none of the other more experienced world leaders have ever tried this approach.. /s

The MSM will oblige by not mentioning anything controversial.
I remember it clearly - it’s how Bill Clinton got elected, except the spin machine will need to work overtime to clean up Obama.
