WASHINGTON -- President Bush is congratulating Sen. Barack Obama for clinching the Democratic presidential nomination.
Just don't expect a phone call between the two.
In her morning briefing with reporters, White House press secretary Dana Perino said the president congratulates Obama.

So true. The end started with George I and Bob Dole and the estrogen treatments the other GOP members got in the Clinton years. We had a chance to end the Dims power base once and for all but Trent Lott and Newt were able to finish it off when he jumped ship in the middle of the fray. I blame guys like DeLay who bailed also instead of fighting the good fight.
Would be so nice to see some “men” ( women or a man ) elected who has a clean history and will remain clean and attempt to do what is right not what is popular.

Good Lord!! Congratulating Obama is no different than when he congratulates the team that wins the playoffs. It doesn’t mean he was a fan of theirs, nor does it mean he’s dissing the other team.

He didn't need to do anything here. He could have very well kept his mouth shut. But a guess part of his New Tone™ is to continue making himself look like a naive fool when it comes to dealing with marxist democrats and never acknowledging that they are treacherous no matter how many times they have provided the proof.
Yep some of the rsponses here are amazing. Of course he congratulated Obama. Obama is beatable. If Clinton were to succeed in stealing the nomination from him, being classy might attact some of the sitting out Obama voters to the GOP.
Really. It’s not like W is endorsing him. Cut him some slack.
