Her latest child was recently born with Down’s Syndrome. She knows there no way she can be a proper mom to her little one and be Veep as well.
I wouldn’t mind her, but the chances are so slim as to be negligible.

Plus in the first year of developement there is no way to gauge the degree of Downs unless profound.
I have high hopes that her bambino is going to be very high functioning and lead an independant life.
