WASHINGTON (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton has told congressional colleagues she would be open to becoming Barack Obama's vice presidential nominee, saying she would consider it if it would help Democrats win the White House. Clinton, a New York senator, made the comment on a conference call with other New York lawmakers Tuesday, according a participant on the call.

The senator's remarks came in response to a question from Democratic Rep. Nydia Velazquez who said she believed the best way for Obama to win over key voting blocs, including Hispanics, would be for him to choose Clinton as his running mate.

"I am open to it," Clinton replied, if it would help the party's prospects in November.

You got that right. Why the GOP went with McCain I don’t know. And there are too many conservatives that just won’t vote for him. There are issues I don’t agree with McCain on but Obama is a nightmare for this country. There are too many Christians that go along with people like Obama and that is one of the reasons it seems we can’t get a good conservative out of the GOP. I don’t understand people in this country who can be comfortable with 50 million children dead and still counting because of abortion and Obama is just crazy about abortion. Heck he doesn’t even want the to live when they are born accidentally during an abortion! Yea great guy there. If Obama gets elected then it is a sure bet that this country has taken a turn away from it’s Christian roots and the gospel.

It would also make Obama look weak, like she pressured him into it. And one of his problems will be a charge that he is weak and has to counter it. He needs a governor or general for VP. Obama & Hillary will be too comical.

MSNBC? reported yesterday that Hillary wants a private meeting with Obama. He would be foolish to meet with her, to have her start setting the agenda.

I am surprised that after the reaction to Hillary's "assassination" comments, there is talk at all of her as VP. The reason I doubt this will happen is Obama's endless promise of "change." Well, with Hillary he will have broken his promise and lose much of his appeal.

BTW, Kristol on FOX has been pushing for Hillary for VP, making really stupid arguments. She must have promised him something.

Good point about ‘change’! I think you may be right...I hope he does not choose her.....I think we have a pretty good chance of beating him on his own....

Didn’t Bush slightly win Florida in 2004—by a few hundred hanging chads?

Elsewhere above, you provided a site: http://electoralprojection.blogspot.com/

Tried to check it this morning and got a "has been removed" box from the host (Blogspot or Blogger, or something similar).

Do you know what happened to it? I thought it was very good--shame if its gone for good.
