Nobody think's she's saying "whitey." But obviously you're having trouble wrapping your arms around the notion that THEY think it's incredibly damaging, or the Obama camp wouldn't be trying to cover this up. It's what she says, not her enunciation.

Pointing out the Farrakhan situation is WAY differnet that accusing her of saying WHITEY!! Go for the Farrkhan angle for sure, but leave the Hoax WHITEY part out of it.

The Republicans could have a tape which is marginally damning of Michelle but do not want to release it because it is subject to interpretation. Then the Democrats talk about the tape to build up great expectations, so when the tape is finally released and fails to live up to the hype, the Republicans look bad and the flap over Michelle's comments are largely ignored.
The Clintons did this continuously while in office.
