The election news will soon slow down until about mid-September. It will really be the first week of October before most citizens get involved. Afraid not. The DNC Convention in Denver will grip the nations attention for a week, at least. It will be seriously contested, although I doubt full-fledged riots will break out (unless CNN can generate some for the cameras).
