A couple observations from the SD's largest city:
It seems that yard signs run about 65-35 Hillary. Ron Paul signs outnumber both.
Obama is spending a lot of money on media. Tom Daschle drones on about how Obama is "change we can believe in". Hillary's commercials tout her plan for fiscal responsibility, and how we "can't keep borrowing from the Chinese to pay the Saudis for oil". Both seem to be running against Bush as they cite him in their ads.
The city's paper apparently endorsed Hillary even though two weeks ago its editorial board was saying she should drop out.

Puff Daschle was on Meet the Depressed and said that Barry just might win SD...he didn't sound very convinced.

I haven't lived in the Dakotas in more than a decade. I used to have a lot of friends and relatives in both Dakotas. Few remain. Does Tom Daschle still have much of a following? Or is his backing of Obama simply a way to distance himself from the Clinton, who have never been very popular there? Has there been enough economic growth that my model of "near zero" racial tensions no longer applies, or do you see the shift as Rev. Wright's chickens coming home to roost.
Did anyone there much buy Obama's weekend withdrawal from Trinity Church?
