Thank you for the pics, Dr. Scarpetta.
As a past commander of the 26th Infantry Regiment you know the dedication and sacrifice the soldiers of the Blue Spaders have made in defense of this country..
Today is a proud day and a day of reflection. We lift up to you the latest warrior recipient of this county's highest honor, Spc. Ross A. McGinnis, for his greatest feat of saving the lives of his fellow soldiers. We trust you will welcome this Unit Brother with open arms and care for him in Valhalla with the honor he so deserves. As is the tradition we pour out a glass and lift a glass to this brave warrior who in that split second decided to risk everything for his fellow soldiers.
With Reverence and Sincerity,
Mad
De Oppresso Libre.
I saw two Marine FIELD GRADE officers snap to and offer a salute to Pappy Boyington in 1979. He pulled up and gave them a classic WW2 salute back and then asked them if they wanted a drink. He was a great guy. One of those guys you want to hang out with.
BUMP to a fine tribute for a fine young man!
Amen.
Many thanks for the pictures, although that last one looks kind of blurry. :^)
You’re very welcome...
Rest in Peace, PFC Ross Andrew McGinnis. I am forever grateful for heroes like you who willingly defend strangers like me.
God Bless our troops.
He rests in peace with HIM that made him. May the good Lord now give the required comforts to his loved ones that will miss him.
