You are spot on. Kansas was the hotbed of the Populist movement (read WE WANT FARM SUBSIDIES!!!). In fact, it was even referred to as PRAIRIE POPULISM.
Socialism, Populism, Communism are all about people who want something that others have, but don’t want to work to get it.
I have never understood why the Left is so obsessed with abortion. I understand that the LEFT is also obsessed with “Do your own thing and the government will pay the freight.” So perhaps abortion is simply an outgrowth of the Leftist mantra.
Abortion is just one more way to disrupt the family.
The left has always wanted to do away with the nuclear family in favor of the collective.
