what exactly is the problem with prison ships? Is there something in the geneva convention involving sea-sickness?
I think prison ships are a good idea... only if anchored in shark-infested waters.
I agree. My only criticism is that the ships are still afloat. :)
Get our guys off and sink em....shame on them.

If this is true- Good for us!!
Hold their trials there, also and have them walk the plank like the old pirate days.
USS Peleliu and ships like this, have very small brigs.
I have been on a lot of these ships when I was in the Navy, they would only hold them there if they thought they needed to have them close to the battlefield.
For example, the prisoner says he knows where a bomb cache is. They then fly in a strike team but they can’t find the bomb cache.
In the ultimate convenience of having the prisoner close, they could even fly him to the site.
Can’t do this if the prisoner was all the way back in the states.
These newspaper articles make no sense, they hold prisoners for good reason on these ships. Otherwise, they are too small to hold but a few people at a time.
If I remember right, USS Peleliu only could hold 3 people comfortable in their brig.
It isn’t a prison ship, it only has a small jail. Papers are completely off the mark.
What does the Geneva Convention have to do with this? These detainees are not sodiers fighting in the armed forces of any country. They don't wear uniforms, wear any insignia, have ranks or a chain of command. They don't wear their arms openly, and they don't try to avoid civilian casualties. Even if Al Qaeda were a country, it never ratified the Geneva Conventions nor does it abide by the rules in the Geneva Conventions.
Terrorists are illegal combatants and should be treated with no more respect than spies, saboteurs, or pirates. Therefore I am outraged they are being housed on ships. They should be made to walk the plank in shark infested waters.
Whatever made you think there were Geneva Convention protections for terrorists?
