McCain lost five planes in all. You forgot to mention the one where he was hot dogging it near the surface and flew trough telephone/power lines.
It’s not that the guy lost planes. It’s that the guy didn’t give a damn, lost two plane by f’n up, and may have even been shot down over Vietnam due to his poor training. I didn’t raise this issue. His flight instructer did. He was supposed to do six tail hooks before being passed. He only did two.
Some of us are not entirely convinced about the Forrestal, but I’m not mentioning that because it could have been as you say. It is rather interesting that of all the people on the Forrestal, McCain was the guy that was hit, or involved.
I appreciate your take on McCain. As I have already said, John was disagreeing with everything Bush did even before he was sworn in. John felt that he had been mistreated during the campaign and was going to get even.
He blanketed Bush policy with objections. It’s little surprise to me that one of them paid off. And I still remind you that this sage was saying that Iraq was going to be a cake walk. “It’ll be easy!” Bush never claimed that oh mighty Kong McCain.
You vote for the guy with my every good wish. I’ll never support him. End of stroy. Take care.
