She’s 60 and will have no power in the Senate for years. Looks like Teddy may be good to go for another decade - like Strom Thurmond or the ol’ Byrd.
Jumping ship on the Dems may even earn her a few votes from anti-McCain republicans. They would rather see HRC’s administration fail than see McCain in office. The rationale is the country will thereafter be ready for a new, true GOP conservative candidate ala Reagan.
