I think it will. The area is certainly improving, and the new waterfront park is pretty nice. The new condos are selling and new businesses are finally coming back to the downtown area. Sure beats the housing prices over in Seattle!

JohnnyP, class of ‘65 West High.

Ma and Pa spend the winter in Yuma, but come back to the old place on 5th St. when the weather warms up.

with miles of waterfront, and gorgeous views, I'm surprised Bremerton never became much. Have they ever thought of hiring an experienced city planner? Sheesh, even my town of Covington has gone from nothing to incredible growth in just two years. Years ago mall developers were looking at bremerton, Poulsbo and Silverdale for the Kitsap Mall. As expected Poulsbo refused them. No surprise. Silverdale got the mall and that areas economy boomed.

I recommend that the Bremerton city council visit the new Kent Station and see for themselves what a success that a cozy, family friendly outdoor mall is, and then contact a developer immediately. Imagine a waterfront mall with shops and restaurants, an outdoor fireplace with seating, manicured landscaping, loads of parking, transit access......and zero tolerance security, just like Kent.

They brought in Cary Bozeman to be mayor. He's the one who brought Bellevue to it's current standing. There's a lot more in the works for the town now... they got the Anthony's in, the two sets of waterfront condos with another in the works, a boardwalk, shopping center, and so on.
