The thing that really ticks me off about Bush-bashers on the left and the right is that we have no idea how many possible attacks may have been prevented and thwarted since 9/11, and which had to remain secret for security reasons. It’s quite possible the Administration has saved our butts on numerous occasions, while dealing with vicious attacks from our own press, politicians, and the public.

I am sure of it. The author of the article mentions that as well:

Also, the recent information released by the CIA points to the success of the measures of the Bush administration, Al Qaeda has been nearly destroyed, and while they are still dangerous, we made major progress in thwarting them.
Makes me furious that there are so many Bushbashers on FR. I guess that they just are ignorant of the facts.
