A good way to think about it is to ask yourself the question: “If not for 9/11, would we be in Iraq or Afghanistan right now.”
We were in Iraq 10 years before 9/11.
It was a problem and we are taking care of it .... although in a much slower loving way than we should have. We should have given Iran and Iraq and Syria 24 hours to evacuate their 3 biggest cities then

Thomas Jefferson himself spent public tax money to promote religious Christian teachings. Thomas Jefferson may not have belonged to the same church as I do, and he may not have practiced the same version of Christianity as me, but that's the great thing about American religious freedom, people like you don't get to decide for everyone else what Christianity is or isn't.
The extreme tactics and ideology that you ascribe to Islam have been rejected by the vast majority of Iraqis. This is what helped trigger the anbar awakening.

If you read it in it’s context, the Iraqis reject al-Qaeda’s brand of Islam (which both you and al-Qaeda pretend is the only valid interpretation of Islam). If you read their constitution in context, you will see such things as “No law can be passed that contradicts the principles of democracy...No law can be passed that contradicts the rights and basic freedoms outlined in this constitution...This constitution guarantees the Islamic identity of the majority of the Iraqi people and the full religious rights for all individuals and the freedom of creed and religious practices...Iraq is a multiethnic, multi-religious and multi-sect country....Terrorism, ethnic cleansing, and takfir are banned.” In an effort to portray al-Qaeda’s version of Islam as the only true version of Islam, you must ignore and disregard these other principles, or attach unsubstantiated motives for such inclusions. For example, the fact that takfir is banned contradicts the rheotric comming from you and al-qaeda as what constitutes true Islam.

The first thing the worthless Iraqi Constitution states is :
SECTION ONE: FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES
Article 1:
(The Republic of Iraq is a single, independent federal state with full sovereignty. Its system of government is republican, representative 61/27Parliamentary63/47 and democratic. This Constitution is the guarantor of its unity)
Article 2:
First: Islam is the official religion of the State and it is a fundamental source of legislation:
A. No law that contradicts the established provisions of Islam may be established
... NOW, anything else that follow has to be interpreted by the koranic mullahs of 7th century mindset. So all that hogwash about respecting democracy and womens rights depends first on it being kosher with the koran. And everyone knows that womens rights and democracy are not in the koran.
Just ask those great protectors of islam - Saudi Arabia.
As long as Iraqis vote for islam

Your text proves my point. Like I said, you must disregard the other principles as outlined the constitution in order to portray Islam in the same fashion as al-Qaeda.

You are pretending that Iraq is a theocratic dicatorship in a effort to paint our allies as our enemy. Your interpretation of what consititutes true Islam is no different than that of al-Qaeda’s interpretation, which has been rejected by a vast majority of Iraqis.
