BAGHDAD A U.S. Marine handed out coins promoting Christianity to Muslims in the former insurgent stronghold of Fallujah, outraged Sunni officials said Friday. The U.S. military responded quickly, removing a trooper from duty pending an investigation.

Well, if a Bible sans resurrection is okay an evangelizing device with you, whom I to argue?
A good way to think about it is to ask yourself the question: If not for 9/11, would we be in Iraq or Afghanistan right now.
We were in Iraq 10 years before 9/11.
It was a problem and we are taking care of it .... although in a much slower loving way than we should have. We should have given Iran and Iraq and Syria 24 hours to evacuate their 3 biggest cities then
Burned them to the ground.
Islam is the enemy Kill the enemy
If the people don’t want to die, they don’t need to follow the religion of evil. Simple.
You are there in self-defense of the United States, NOT for the Iraqis. Dont complain about it.
Because aslong as they mandate in their constitution that
No LAW SHALL CONTRADICT ISLAM - they will reap the rewards of islam......death suffering enslavement and on and on.
islam is the enemy
You really aren’t there “saving Iraqis” in absolutely any way/
You are there in Self Defense.
“The enemy is islam.”
This contradicts reality. According to Petreaus, the tips from the local Muslim population has been a great help in capturing/killing the terrorists and thus saving the lives of Americans.
“You dont see them fighting against the Hezzies or Hamas in Gaza or Lebanon do you?”
Yes to both.
“The Iraqis are using US.”
Well, in the sense that we are working side by side with the Iraqis to sustain a democratic society.
“Show me a division of Saudi or Jordanian or Turkish or Pakistani combat troops doing bullet magnet duty with our troops.”
Bullet magnet duty? Your attempt to denigrate our troops and their mission is absurd. It is the al-qaeda terrorists that are on the run now. Same with the Iranian backed terrorists.
“islam is the enemy DESTROY THE ENEMY”
This rah rah stuff is silly. What would you do with the millions of Muslims that are citizens of the U.S.? Deport them because of their religion?
Thomas Jefferson himself spent public tax money to promote religious Christian teachings. Thomas Jefferson may not have belonged to the same church as I do, and he may not have practiced the same version of Christianity as me, but that's the great thing about American religious freedom, people like you don't get to decide for everyone else what Christianity is or isn't.
The extreme tactics and ideology that you ascribe to Islam have been rejected by the vast majority of Iraqis. This is what helped trigger the anbar awakening.
“NO LAW SHALL CONTRADICT ISLAM.”
If you read it in it’s context, the Iraqis reject al-Qaeda’s brand of Islam (which both you and al-Qaeda pretend is the only valid interpretation of Islam). If you read their constitution in context, you will see such things as “No law can be passed that contradicts the principles of democracy...No law can be passed that contradicts the rights and basic freedoms outlined in this constitution...This constitution guarantees the Islamic identity of the majority of the Iraqi people and the full religious rights for all individuals and the freedom of creed and religious practices...Iraq is a multiethnic, multi-religious and multi-sect country....Terrorism, ethnic cleansing, and takfir are banned.” In an effort to portray al-Qaeda’s version of Islam as the only true version of Islam, you must ignore and disregard these other principles, or attach unsubstantiated motives for such inclusions. For example, the fact that takfir is banned contradicts the rheotric comming from you and al-qaeda as what constitutes true Islam.
You are making sense.
(prepare to be flamed in a condescending tone from zealot elitists)
“Thank you for joining our discussion.
You are making sense.”
My pleasure, FRiend. And thank you for contributing a refreshing sense of realism to this discussion.
The first thing the worthless Iraqi Constitution states is :
SECTION ONE: FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES
Article 1:
(The Republic of Iraq is a single, independent federal state with full sovereignty. Its system of government is republican, representative 61/27Parliamentary63/47 and democratic. This Constitution is the guarantor of its unity)
Article 2:
First: Islam is the official religion of the State and it is a fundamental source of legislation:
A. No law that contradicts the established provisions of Islam may be established
... NOW, anything else that follow has to be interpreted by the koranic mullahs of 7th century mindset. So all that hogwash about respecting democracy and womens rights depends first on it being kosher with the koran. And everyone knows that womens rights and democracy are not in the koran.
Just ask those great protectors of islam - Saudi Arabia.
As long as Iraqis vote for islam
....................they vote against freedom.
islam is the enemy
So at the end of the day, it all breaks down to a battle between mindsets:
Mullah’s 7th century.
You: 1st century.
Hmmm.
“Its system of government is republican, representative 61/27Parliamentary63/47 and democratic. “
Your text proves my point. Like I said, you must disregard the other principles as outlined the constitution in order to portray Islam in the same fashion as al-Qaeda.
“NOW, anything else that follow has to be interpreted by the koranic mullahs...”
You are pretending that Iraq is a theocratic dicatorship in a effort to paint our allies as our enemy. Your interpretation of what consititutes true Islam is no different than that of al-Qaeda’s interpretation, which has been rejected by a vast majority of Iraqis.
“The first thing the worthless Iraqi Constitution..”
Speaking of constitutions, what would you do with the millions of muslims that are U.S. citizens? Deport them because of their religion? (there’s a reason you won’t answer this question)
We have a saying:
“You are trying to bring down a wall by throwing eggs at it”
Of course it sounds more profound and poetic in greek.
