Doug Ose, a candidate for the Republican nomination for the 4th Congressional District, right, laughs
at a comment former Gov. Pete Wilson, left, made about Ose's opponent, state Sen. Tom McClintock

All I had to read was the Sac Bee endorsing Ose to know for sure to vote for McClintock. I don’t know what to think about the Mt. Democrat (Placerville) endorsing Ose. Of course there’s alot of bay area transplants moving up into my neck of the woods.....too bad.

* If Pete Wilson had gotten his way, Ronald Reagan would have never been in the White House. When Reagan ran for president, Wilson traveled to New Hampshire during the primary election to campaign against his home state governor. Spending days in the state bashing Reagan, Wilson informed GOP voters that Reagan had been a mediocre governor, was too extreme to get elected president and would lead the GOP to disaster. ...
I was just going through YouTube and found that despite Wilson's backstabbing, Reagan supported Wilson's campaign against Jerry Brown for the 1982 Senate race.
Too bad I wasn't old enough to vote against Pete Wilson in the primary like I did in subsequent years. ;-)
Anyway, here's the clip...
Reagan Supports Wilson for California US Senator in 1982
It's funny seeing Jerry Brown's "Not Jerry Brown!" commercial again.

I'm still mad at Pete Wilson for two things:
1. During his debate with Kathleen Brown, he promised to serve a full term if he won. One month after taking office for his second term, he announced his run for President.
2. When he announced his run for President, he went to New York City to have the Statue of Libery as his backdrop. He couldn't find a place in California to announce his candidacy?
