Court order: FLDS children to return beginning Monday, families will remain supervised

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Lawyers for Child Protective Services have made a proposed agreement to return hundreds of children taken from the Fundamental LDS Church's YFZ Ranch.

The agreement is being discussed by lawyers for mothers, children and child welfare authorities in a hearing underway that is in response to a Texas Supreme Court ruling that the children should be returned to their parents.

A copy of the order, obtained by the Deseret News, seeks to have children returned to their parents beginning Monday. The proposed agreement also requires parents to complete parenting classes and cooperate with an ongoing investigation into allegations of abuse and negect on the YFZ Ranch.

"CPS has access to the residence of the subject child for unannounced home visits during the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.," the agreement says.

Parents must provide the address of the residence and the names of everyone living in the home.

The proposed agreement also seeks to prevent the families from leaving the state of Texas. It applies to approximately 139 children belonging to 41 mothers, but Judge Barbara Walther said in court she expects it will be expanded.

"The court thinks this ruling would be the same for each and every child," she said.

There were quite a few women there. Which ones are you talking about? Do you have their names? Several of them who were misidentified as minors actually didn't offer IDs at all. CPS took them at their word.

Frankly, they all looked like they were zonked out on peyote. Sounded like it too. Do you have an explanation for why supposedly healthy people would look and act that way?

Doggone, I could have mistaken you for one of those Commie Vermonters. They target WalMart as the class enemy as well.

No wonder you think our government is out of whack. Bet you missed the part where the USSR fell didn't you.

Dude! Chill out.

Do you always post so sarcastically? I bet if knew me (which you seem to think you do) you'd find we have allot in common.

I'm just against heavy handed tactics from the IRS, CPS, LMNOP or whoever. It seems our government is condoning this more and more now days....that was my point.

Smaller government, less intrusion, more freedom, stick to the constitution.

Does this make me a whacky liberal Vermonter fella????

You have that anti-WalMart problem though. It rather paints a picture that's not really all that pretty.

In fact, they've been doing their best to privatize money again (like it was back in the early days of the Republic). Their supplier contract and product pricing policies have a greater impact on our money supply and its value than the Federal Reserve.

You really can't be against downsizing government and bringing the federales under control and also be critical of WalMart.
