OK - I am sick and tired of the people who continue to insult Senator McCain based on his class standing at Annapolis.

Be as sick as you want to be, but the simple fact is the idiot wouldn't even have gotten in had it not been for who is father and grandfather were. Once in, they let him graduate despite his horrible performance for the same reason. And then, of course, he continued his sub par performance as an aviator. How many airplanes did he crash at the taxpayers' expense? McCain's a text book example of the danger of nepotism.

Why would his use of alcohol appear in the records anyway? Evaluations typically concern themselves with what someone does ON duty, not OFF duty.

I wouldn't advise anyone in the military to get a DWI arrrest of conviction while off duty.

Frankly I'm astounded that a party of esteemed intellectuals have chosen such a man.

McCain almost jumped ship a couple of years ago and became a Democrat. That would have tipped the balance of power over on the Hill. He struck a deal with the Republican Powers: make me the presidential candidate and I'll stay a Republican.

A similar deal was struck with Romney a few months ago.

I have not insulted the Academy in any shape, manner or form. McCain would have had no more chance of getting into the Naval Academy if his father hadn't been who he was than GWB would have had getting into Yale if his father hadn't been who he was. The difference, of course, is that once in GWB was a much better student than McCain. Perhaps you should spend a little time reading about McCain and his background.
