With each election, no matter who we elect, the bureaucrats continue in a straight line down the policy road we are traveling, leading to the inevitable.
How did they become more powerful? Because we don’t have a president with the nads to open drilling by EO. That’s how clinton closed a lot of coal production and nobody would try to override the EO in congress which was controlled by republicans. An EO to drill here, drill now would spur the oil companies to move pretty fast in getting the oil out of the ground and would psychologically ease some of the anxiety that seems to spur oil speculation.
