He is absolutely right. It’s more reasonable and (yes) feasible to make the GOP into the conservatives’ party again by supporting conservative candidates in the primaries on all levels. We will march into political oblivion, if we continue to splinter our forces or waste them by supporting multiple small parties (Constitution, Conservative or Falcon Party) with absolutely no chance of ever winning anything.

Solid Wood, thank you for being reasonable. It's so tempting to throw a temper tantrum and take our balls and go home but in the long run, we will be hurting ourselves.

McCain is never going to be as beloved as Reagan and even Bush so why would others try to emulate McCain?

We must rebuild. We have the foundation and it's very likely that this year we were hurt by the Independents and crossover RATS.

Let's look at the bright side. If McCain is elected he'll be the oldest president to ever be elected. At least he's not young. We must do better in selecting our candidates. It's our fault--no one elses.
