Rush is spot on. You don't win by capitulating, you win by digging in your heels and fighting to regain the territory you lost, then advancing.

We had our big third party blow out in ‘92 with Perot. It got us the Clintons for eight years and if it wasn't for black barack running we'd be facing eight more.

And now history repeats itself. People say the pubbies are the stupid party, I say conservatives are the stupid ideology. Sometimes I don't want to even get up in the morning due to conservatives being so freakin brain dead.

It's opposite. Clinton revived the republican party more than anything before or since. After Reagan, the liberal Bush/Baker wing of the party took over. Only after the RNC realized that they couldn't survive on liberal pork anymore did they go back to conservative principles(the contract with america).

If McCain gets elected the RNC will continue their leftward slide.

The conservatives within the GOP have already lost. The party nominated a leftist and he will likely move even further to the left taking the GOP with him. Who are you going to fight if McCain wins the election and is the head of the party? McCain will appoint his surrogates in virtually all positions of party leadership. They will in turn appoint other liberals until McCain's cultural revolution is complete and the conservatives are all purged. Do you really think you will achieve anything going against the head of the party and his lackies? In the end, McCain's backer, George Soros, will have truly achieved Marxist one party rule.

If you want to support a leftist running as a Republican, that's fine with me. But, I will never support a leftist, because I cannot repudiate my convictions.

So when you stand on principle, are you having a "hissy fit", too?

Perhaps you should try to understand that it's not about "taking votes for granted", but rather defining the unacceptable. R-at-any-cost means that no candidate, no matter how liberal and anti-conservative they are, will be deemed unacceptable by the electorate.
