And she was also advised by a counselor that her graduating in three years would not jeapordize her valedictory status.
What a tragic story. Too bad the school district lacks the wisdom to reward her for her accomplishments.
And she was also advised by a counselor that her graduating in three years would not jeapordize her valedictory status.
Wouldn't you hate to be that counselor? Wonder if the parents have any legal recourse for malpractice?
It's not really tragic. She'll end up with a full scholly to ANY school she likes.
Princeton, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Brown, Columbia, Duke, Rice, Stanford, Sam Houston State University (Go Bearkats!), Dartmouth, Penn. or the like.
Although the scholarship from the state is a wonderful reward, I cannot believe that with her grades, and her perfect SAT (also in the article) that she will be paying a penny for her education. I am sure there are other scholarships (full rides) that she is eligible for with those grades and accomplishments.
