I'm not sure this is an entirely sensible position for Israel, not worth the lousy publicity. But in the entire article the New York Times doesn't mention once that Gaza has a border with Egypt, who isn't being rocketed from Gaza, and who could easily facilitate the students movement. And gain a small bit of positive publicity. Only Israel gets mentioned.
