• Go to Lowe’s or Home Depot or whatever mom & pop hardware store you like, and buy a drill bit to send to your congressman or woman…
• In fact, buy at least 3… • One for your Representative in the House
• And one for each of your two United States Senators.
• Tell them you are sick and tired of gas prices, and of watching this great country borrow money from the Chinese to buy oil from the Saudi’s
• Click here to find the address for your senators and congressman.
• Click around on their web pages until you find their Washington, D.C. office… Don’t send anything to a local or district office.
• Let’s flood Washington with drill bits to let them know it’s time to drill ANWR, the Gulf of Mexico and other domestic resources.
• We’re mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore!!!

I’m a little conflicted here. One one hand I hate the idea of buying cheap Chinese drill bits. On the other hand, I don’t care much for the idea of paying good money for high-quality US made drill bits, and then sending them to someone who probably doesn’t know which end goes in the chuck.

How about sending the dull drill bits we all have in our tool boxes? No member of Congress will know the difference!!!!

If the bits were sent to democrats (who are the greater obstructors of drilling), then we could ignore the quote from the Rodham Rodent about borrowing from China to pay the Saudis. The effort has a sound of reason but is a waste of money and drill bits ... you would be hard pressed to find a legislator who could even use a drill bit ‘cause it’s too much like work.

Dawn, thanks for posting this!! I often listen to the Schnitt Show but missed this...great idea!

It is WAY PAST TIME for ‘the people’ to take a stand and let the Congress know we want them to do what’s best for America ...not themselves OR foreign countries. I will definitely send some ‘bits’ and share this with friends.
