My father went to enlist right after Pearl Harbor and was told to go home and wait. The Army couldn’t handle all of the incoming volunteers.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I’m glad you survived. I visited Dachau in 1954 and was deeply moved by seeing the death facilities. That visit has no comparision to what you went through, but I realize we should never allow it to happen again anywhere.

Not so much a lie as misstatements that express a careless regard for their history. Then again when America is seen as a troublemaker in this world, a lack of respect for our flag, our constitution, and our troops is understandable and will continue to be a problem for the Obama campaign.
