There were mass party affiliation switches in Texas during that era, which is the main reason why Texas went from solidly Democrat in the 1970s to solidly GOP today.
Most did it because the 'Rats had moved too far to the left. So one shouldn't be too quick to insult an individual because he or she converted to the GOP.
I am quite aware of that. I come from a very politcally active family. Her whoring is not quite normal.
I question Carol Keeton McClellan Rylander Strayhorn's conversion to the GOP. CKMRS was/is an opportunist who later changed to "Independent" to serve her own selfish purpose. I have no use or respect for "One Tough Grandma."
Why should anybody expect loyalty from her son?
