Last week, I wrote about eye-catching titles, but nothing I mentioned holds a candle to the one that just crossed my desk: The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder.

When you’re around a thorn, you may get a little prick.
By the way, he was just on Ronn Owens’ morning show on KGO (810) in San Francisco. I called about 20-25 minutes into the first hour, talking about the British memo to Blair and the nature of verbatim qutes versus remembered summaries.
I used to be a radio reporter in the old-school-ish 70s-80s, and now do transcription and minutes-taking as part of my business.
I said that the memo’s characterization of Bush saying Iraq was an immiment threat, although he did not use those words, were not an exact quote, that it was easy to misremember, not remember or just mischaracterize a remembered conversation, did not count as a direct quote. Ronn agreed with me, and kept on VB through the TWO HOURS he was on.
Bugliosi told me I was 100% wrong.
I used to have respect for him - saw him in college about Helter Skelter. Now he’s a shrill, hysterical, overly dramatic nutjob who hates the President more than anything.
I did get a chance to come back at him, although he leaned on me pretty hard. I was about the first or second caller, I think.
If you have a chance to listen to the archived audio - they’re on for about a week on the radio station’s site, but I think Owens podcasts them - do it. It was the most frustrating two hours of radio I’ve heard in a long time.
I had called to say that the Iraq War was a resumption of hostilities from GW1, but never got to. However, another caller did, so that’s good.
He has one of the worst, most prsistent cases of BDS I’ve heard yet. And even Owens told him that not only would this not happen, but that it would be damaging to the country and the office. Good for him. (and he opposes the war!)
