Amen. Any suggestion regarding conversation on race should come from someone who hasn’t squandered her racial goodwill the way she did so shamefully with her racial epithets over the “comprehensive immigration reform” touted by her masters.

While I don’t necessarily disagree with her statement. It is hypocrisy coming straight out of her ardent supporting Hispanic mouth.

So she aardently supports Hispanics, why does that make her a hypocrite? She IS Hispanic, but I don't see her talking down any other race in favor of her own.

She is a hypocrite because she calls white people bigots for opposing illegal immigration while advocating for Hispanics. Is that somehow different in your mind?

Maybe she's calling those white people bigots, who actually act that way, with their continual denigration of Hispanics, legal or otherwise, and you have to admit that there are some who do that. Those folks act as though the fact that Hispanics are here is an affront to the American way of life, when this country has accepted millions of immigrants over the years. Some assimilate quickly, others, it takes many years. The older someone is when they immigrate, the harder it is for them to assimilate into the culture, so they keep their native cultures alive, in their homes, and in their communities, because they tend to live close to others from their native lands in order to ease their transition. You still see areas of large cities that are set up to give those folks some sense of where they came from. Typically, it takes a couple of generations for them to become more Americanized as they move up on the economic ladder and out of the enclaves.

I've never heard Linda Chavez express support for Illegal immigration; she might be for immigration reform, so am I, though I don't advocate blanket amnesty for anyone who happens to make it across the border. The immigration policy is a mess and NEEDS reform. Whether or not I support a particular piece of legislation depends on how the issues of length of time of the process, guest workers, etc. are treated. Right now, it's such an long and seemingly arbitrary process that many don't bother, and just try to get here however they can.

I'm sure there are many white folks who live in areas where there are large numbers of Hispanics who feel that their way of life is somehow threatened, because there are Hispanic 'leaders', just like the 'civil rights leaders', who are continually stirring the pot, even though most Hispanics, like most blacks, aren't paying them much attention, because they're just trying to get by, day to day. Folks in other parts of the country don't necessarily feel that same way, because they don't have those large Hispanic enclaves. They might, however, have some numbers of Russians, Slavs, Central Americans, Africans, or even Irish, who could be illegals. The matter is just not as pressing in those areas.

When she starts chastising and calling LaRaza, MEChA and all Hispanics who act the same way you are saying certain whites act bigots and haters then she has leg to stand on otherwise she is just a one way hypocrite.

And what of our communities or my communities? You are saying that Hispanics can push/force their culture and communities but if whites object to their culture and communities being displaced then they are the problem not the other way around.

And that is why for example Miami is now a Spanish speaking city or S CA or large parts of AZ, TX, NM, NV or many sections of any large American city.

That is why we have schools like La Academia Semillas del Pubelo or Latino studies because they want to be American.

I see people throw that out but not sure how you can prove it nor that it is true. How many Hispanic politicians are against the invasion? If what you say is true then why does LaRaza or MEChA or any of the other hundreds of Hispanic advocacy groups have such wide support? How many are against the invasion?

True but almost a non sequitur because the overwhelming majority of illegals are Hispanics and the overwhelming majority of those are from Mexico.
