It would be nice...but this is a little hard to believe. Barak isnt polling that well. It is probably posturing. It would be somewhat ironic if the govt was toppled by the left. Especially since it *should* be toppled by the right but Shas is too corrupt to pull it off....Stange times in Israel.

Barak is a jerk, too.
And I remember how he shafted the Christians of South Lebanon by running away for political reasons.

Barak is more than cognizant Olmert corrupt-ship of appeasement is sinking fast and he is publicly bailing out.
A severely divided Kadima will hopefully assist Likud to a decisive election victory mandate, in time to counter, (coupled with US & UK forces) the Iranian-Syrian Shi'ite proxy terrorist threats against Israel & the general region (Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan & beyond).

I know this may be a tall order but here goes:
Would someone please point me to a relatively concise summary of who's who and which party is which in Israeli politics? Labor and Likud I understand. It is the other parties I have trouble following.
FWIW - I did a term paper on Begin and role played him in college in 1977. A very interesting man.
