Auschwitz and Treblinka were both in Poland. No American units ever got with 100 miles of either of those hell holes. Auschwitz was 'liberated' by the Soviet Red Army in January of 1945. Treblinka was closed by the Nazis in 1943 --- it was never 'liberated' by anyone.
It doesn’t matter. Democrats lie for the purpose of making a point. The point is all that matters. The point associated with the Auschwitz/Treblinka lie is that he is not anti-war. The point with the “crazy uncle in the attic”/Auschwitz lie is that he wants more government programs. Both of these are laudible objectives in his eyes (one to make him look good, the other to pander to the more government crowd). Thus, the lies don’t matter.
Maybe Dan Rather is on his payroll.
